Imperial eagle rescued in Zeta after becoming too heavy to fly
A juvenile imperial eagle in Zeta, Montenegro, was unable to take flight after consuming a large meal. Members of the Zeta Hunting Society discovered the bird and contacted the Center for Protection and Study of Birds of Montenegro.
Experts from the Center stated that the large predator had entered the Zeta area in search of food and became too heavy to fly immediately following its meal. The bird is currently under observation, with specialists noting that it requires rest to recover from its overindulgence. The incident has highlighted the importance of wildlife conservation and the protection of imperial eagles, which face threats such as habitat loss and power line accidents.
