Imperial Tobacco announces new cigarette price increases

Tobacco companies are implementing a series of price increases in August. Following previous hikes by JTI, BAT, and Philip Morris, Imperial Tobacco has announced its updated price list, effective August 10.

According to data shared by Erol Dündar, President of the Monopolized Retailers Solidarity Association (TBYD), Imperial Tobacco prices will now range between 110 TL and 130 TL. Specifically, West products are priced at 110 TL, while Davidoff Slims reach 130 TL.

Across the broader market, the minimum price for brands such as Captain Black is 110 TL, while the BAT and JTI groups have set base prices at 115 TL. The most expensive cigarettes, primarily within the Philip Morris group, have reached 140 TL. Industry observers attribute these rising costs to changes in Special Consumption Tax (ÖTV) thresholds and general inflation.
