Imran Ansari meets Iranian Chief Justice in New Delhi

Molvi Imran Ansari, President of the All Jammu and Kashmir Shia Association and JKPC General Secretary, met with the Chief Justice of Iran, Ayatollah Gholam-Hossein Mohseni-Eje’i, in New Delhi. The meeting occurred during Ansari’s official visit to the city for the BRICS judicial leaders’ summit.

The discussion included Iranian Ambassador to India Dr. Mohammad Fathali and Dr. Abdul Majid Hakeem Ilahi, the Representative of the Supreme Leader of Iran in India. Ansari highlighted the deep-rooted historical and cultural connections between Kashmir and Iran, noting the influence of Persian language, literature, Islamic scholarship, and art on Kashmir’s heritage.

Ansari also addressed the historic relationship between India and Iran, describing them as ancient civilizations linked by trade and people-to-people relations. He expressed hope that renewed engagement could strengthen bilateral cooperation in sectors such as trade, connectivity, education, science, and technology.
