Imran Khan's sons criticize PCB over Lord's Test boycott threat

The sons of former Pakistani Prime Minister and cricket captain Imran Khan, Sulaiman and Kasim, have criticized the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) following reports of a potential match boycott during the second Test at Lord’s.

The controversy arose after Sky Sports broadcast an interview with the brothers conducted by Michael Atherton. In the interview, they discussed the deteriorating health and prison conditions of their father. Reports indicated that the PCB, led by Chairman Mohsin Naqvi, threatened to abandon the match unless the interview was removed from broadcast.

Kasim Khan described the board's actions to The Telegraph, stating they made ‘absolute fools of themselves’. Sulaiman Khan expressed shock at the board's tactics, arguing that it is not the PCB's responsibility to censor discussions regarding the humanitarian situation of a former player. While the interview was delayed, the players eventually took the field. Pakistani authorities have denied allegations of mistreatment regarding Imran Khan's confinement.
