IMSS Bienestar warns of fraudulent job offers in Yucatán
The IMSS Bienestar institution has issued an alert regarding fraudulent job offers targeting individuals seeking employment in the health sector. Scammers are reportedly using phone calls and messages to solicit money in exchange for promised positions at medical units, specifically targeting vacancies at the Hospital General ‘Dr. Agustín O’Horán’ in Mérida, Yucatán.
The fraudulent actors may use official logos, documents, and the names of public officials to create a false sense of legitimacy and convince victims to make deposits or transfers. IMSS Bienestar emphasized that no job positions are for sale and that all recruitment, selection, and hiring processes are entirely free of charge.
Authorities advise applicants to verify all job openings through official institutional channels and to report any suspicious offers to the competent authorities to facilitate investigations.
