IMSS opens four vacation centers for summer visitors

The Instituto Mexicano del Seguro Social (IMSS) announced that its four vacation centers—Oaxtepec in Morelos, Atlixco‑Metepec in Puebla, La Trinidad and Malintzi in Tlaxcala—are ready to receive guests for the upcoming summer season. The facilities offer pools, sports courts, green areas, camping zones, amusement parks, hotels, restaurants and cabins, with Oaxtepec providing access to the Six Flags water park at special rates.

Entry is priced at 275 pesos for two adults and two children, while overnight lodging starts at 880 pesos for up to four people. Permanent discounts are available for seniors (30 %), IMSS staff (25 %) and right‑holders (10 %). A "Dog Friendly" program allows pets in rooms at Oaxtepec, Atlixco‑Metepec and La Trinidad. All centers operate 24 hours a day, are located within two hours of Mexico City and the Bajío region, and include convention‑center facilities. Last year the four sites served more than 750,000 visitors.
