IMSS opens new childcare centers in Ciudad Juárez
The Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS) has officially opened the San Isidro and Gladiolas Child Education and Care Centers (CECI) in Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua. These new facilities expand upon the services provided by the Paraje Oriente CECI, which began operations in June.
As part of a commitment by President Claudia Sheinbaum and IMSS Director General Zoé Robledo, the centers aim to support working mothers by providing comprehensive services for early childhood. The facilities are designed to care for children ranging from 43 days old up to 4 years of age.
The program includes specialized personnel, safe environments, health services, nutrition, and early childhood education. Officials noted that the initiative is intended to address historical social gaps and serve as a driver for economic and social development in the strategic manufacturing hub of the border region.
