IMTEST evaluates trekking backpacks for hiking performance

IMTEST conducted a comparative evaluation of five trekking backpacks with volumes ranging between 30 and 38 liters. The deuter Futura Pro 36 was named the test winner, distinguished by its high number of side compartments, a main compartment that can be subdivided via zipper, and a robust fabric. It was noted for providing good ventilation due to its distance from the back, though it was also identified as the heaviest model in the test.

The Tatonka Hike Pack 32 received the award for best value for money. The testing focused on the requirements of multi-day trekking, which involves navigating remote terrain and carrying essential gear such as sleeping bags and food.
