Imtiaz Ali's 'Main Vaapas Aaunga' set for June 2026 release

Imtiaz Ali's upcoming Hindi romance‑drama musical Main Vaapas Aaunga stars Diljit Dosanjh, Sharvari Wagh, Vedang Raina and Naseeruddin Shah. The film, set against a Partition‑era backdrop, explores love, longing and memory across generations.

Music for the film is composed by A.R. Rahman, with songs such as “Maskara” and “Kya Kamaal Hai” performed by Vedang Raina, Nilanjana Ghosh Dastidar and Diljit Dosanjh. Vedang Raina shared behind‑the‑scenes footage of the “Maskara” shoot, thanking director Imtiaz Ali, composer A.R. Rahman and lyricist Irshad Kamil.

The teaser was released on 13 March 2026, followed by a trailer that highlighted the film’s romantic tone. Main Vaapas Aaunga is scheduled to open in Indian cinemas on 12 June 2026.
