In Extremo releases acoustic album Tranquilo II
The German medieval rock band In Extremo has released Tranquilo II, the follow-up to their acoustic project released 16 years ago. The new album features 17 tracks, including rearranged classics, rare songs, and the new track ‘Heute wird der Himmel brennen’.
Recorded in a small studio in Dornbirn, Austria, the production focused on organic musicianship rather than large-scale studio effects. The album explores diverse musical styles, moving beyond traditional rock to incorporate elements of swing, ska, reggae, jazz, and Eastern European influences.
Collaborations include Oliver ‘SaTyr’ Pade, Niel Mitra from Faun, and violinist Justin Ciuche. Guest appearances feature Doro Pesch, Laura Fella from Faun, and Monchi from Feine Sahne Fischfilet.
