Incrementum AG releases 20th‑anniversary ‘In Gold We Trust’ report on gold remonetisation
On 20 May 2026 Incrementum AG, the Liechtenstein‑based asset manager, presented the 20th‑anniversary edition of its “In Gold We Trust” report at an international livestreamed press conference in Ruggell, Liechtenstein and Vienna, Austria. Authored by fund managers Ronald‑Peter Stöferle and Mark J. Valek, the 460‑page study—downloaded over two million times—examines two decades of gold market analysis and outlines a theme of “Back to the Monetary Future,” arguing that gold is gradually regaining monetary significance as a neutral store of value.
The report highlights six vectors of gold remonetisation, including reserve policy, tokenisation and the influence of Tether, and forecasts a possible price surge toward a USD 8,900 scenario after the USD 4,800 ten‑year target was already met. It also discusses potential demand from the global bond market, interviews with analysts such as Luke Gromen and Craig Tindale, and a proposal for gold‑backed Treasury trust bonds. The findings are aimed at investors reassessing diversification and value‑preservation strategies amid fiscal and geopolitical instability.
