IN SITU artists to hold closing discussion at La Tallera

The Mexican Secretariat of Culture and the National Institute of Fine Arts and Literature (INBAL) have announced a closing discussion for the exhibition ‘IN SITU’ on Saturday, September 19, at La Tallera.

The event features artists Galia Eibenschutz, Iván Gabaldón, Daniel García, and Roselys Oropeza. The discussion will be held via a real-time broadcast between two locations: La Tallera and an abandoned factory in Mérida, Yucatán, where the filmic-performative piece originated.

The project explores the relationship between the human body and its environment through observation and collective dialogue. The work utilizes the architecture and material conditions of the former factory to reflect on memory, labor, and the effects of modernity.
