In This Moment releases ninth studio album ‘Witch’

Los Angeles-based alternative metal band In This Moment has released their ninth studio album, titled ‘Witch’. Following a three-year hiatus, the 11-track project marks a departure from the video game-inspired themes of their 2023 release, ‘God Mode’.

Vocalist Maria Brink describes the album as a declaration of inner transformation, focusing on the duality of turning pain, persecution, and struggle into strength. The concept explores the figure of the witch as a creator connected to the universe.

Musically, the album blends the band’s established alternative metal sound with electronic elements and synthesizers. While tracks like ‘Shame’ and ‘Crawl’ have been noted for their power and melodic integration, other tracks such as ‘Into The Dark’ lean more heavily into electronic production.
