Ina Klaassen receives Rotterdam municipal award

Ina Klaassen, the director of Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen, has been awarded the Stadspenning de Rotterdammert. The municipal distinction was presented on Friday, September 21, by Alderman Diederik van Dommelen.

Klaassen is recognized for her significant contributions to the Rotterdam cultural sector. Since joining as business leader in 2013, she has managed large-scale construction projects and, since 2022, has overseen the museum's entire business and artistic direction. Her leadership was instrumental in the development of the Depot and in securing major donations, such as from the Droom en Daad foundation, to support the museum's ambitious renovation and renewal plans.

Due to illness, Klaassen has had to step down from her duties.
