Ina to conduct seismic measurements for oil and gas exploration
The energy company Ina has announced plans to conduct seismic measurements across agricultural and forested areas in the Podravina, Prigorje, and Bilogora regions of Croatia. The project aims to investigate potential oil and gas deposits.
The activities will take place in the areas of Đurđevac, Koprivnica, and Križevci, as well as the municipalities of Kapela, Koprivnički Bregi, Novigrad Podravski, Rovišće, Sokolovac, Veliko Trojstvo, Virje, and Zrinski Topolovac. The work is scheduled to occur daily from late October 2024 through late March 2027, with the possibility of an extension.
Geofizyka Torun, a Polish company, will perform the work under the continuous professional supervision of Ina. The company will utilize non-invasive seismic recording technology to collect data. Ina stated that any potential damage to agricultural crops caused by vehicle movement during the measurements will be assessed by company representatives and landowners during or immediately after the works. Residents are requested not to disturb the placed markings or seismic equipment.
