Inabif receives national award for supporting orphaned children with disabilities

The National Integral Program for Family Welfare (Inabif), under Peru's Ministry of Women and Vulnerable Populations, has won first place in the 2026 Inclusive Management Good Practices Contest. The award, organized by Conadis in the Social Protection category, recognizes an initiative that supports 1,603 orphaned children and adolescents with disabilities across 25 regions of the country.

The program provides economic assistance and professional accompaniment to help beneficiaries access public services and exercise their rights. The model includes specialized follow-ups to identify family needs, coordinate service access, and develop Family Welfare Plans. The initiative also indirectly benefits 1,549 caregivers and family members.
