INACRAFT 2026 opens in Jakarta with Technocraft theme
The INACRAFT 2026 exhibition has officially opened at the Jakarta International Convention Centre (JICC) under the theme ‘Technocraft’. This theme aims to bridge traditional Indonesian craftsmanship with modern technology and innovation to enhance product competitiveness and encourage participation from a younger generation of creators.
The event was inaugurated by Minister of Trade Budi Santoso, with various government officials and representatives from the Indonesian Handicraft Exporters and Producers Association (ASEPHI) in attendance. ASEPHI Chairman Hatman noted that technology is intended to complement rather than replace artisans, helping to increase precision and value while maintaining cultural identity.
Among the participants is Maskerade, a Makassar-based fashion brand supported by Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional Sulawesi. Maskerade showcases South Sulawesi traditional textiles, such as Sengkang Silk and Toraja Weaving, through contemporary designs aimed at younger consumers. The brand also incorporates eco-friendly materials, such as recycled glass, into its accessories.
