INADEH proposes B/. 131.9 million budget for 2027 training expansion

The National Institute for Vocational Training and Human Development (INADEH) has presented a B/. 131.9 million budget proposal for the 2027 fiscal year to the National Assembly's Budget Commission. Approximately 82% of these funds, totaling B/. 108.1 million, are earmarked for investment in infrastructure, equipment, and institutional modernization, while B/. 23.7 million is allocated for operational costs.

Key infrastructure projects include the construction of new buildings at the Tocumen Professional Training Center, a new center in Bugaba, Chiriquí, and the INADEH Azul+ project in Penonomé. The institution also plans to establish its first training center in the Ngäbe-Buglé Comarca and expand facilities in Panama Norte, Soná, Pesé, and La Chorrera.

Additionally, INADEH is proposing an expansion of its training center in Panamá Pacífico to focus on Industry 4.0 technologies. This project includes the construction of a 705-square-meter building featuring automated assembly cells, hybrid laboratories, and specialized spaces for robotics, the Internet of Things (IoT), and digital production management. The training curriculum will emphasize automation, electronics, semiconductors, and electromobility to meet evolving labor market demands.
