Inail presents social reintegration short film at Venice Film Festival

The short film ‘Percorsi di cioccolato’ (Chocolate Paths) was presented at the Venice International Film Festival to highlight social reintegration efforts for women following workplace injuries. The project was an initiative of the Inail Veneto regional directorate in collaboration with the institute’s central planning and communication directorate.

The film documents the activities of Nina Kakaw, a social artisanal chocolate company based in Belluno. The enterprise aims to provide training and employment opportunities for women facing socio-economic fragility. The company operates a supply chain that connects Italy, where the chocolate is processed, with the Ecuadorian Amazon, the source of the raw materials.

Between January and April, participants in the project attended ten chocolate-making workshops. These sessions were designed to help women acquire new skills, build self-esteem, and foster meaningful social connections. The program concluded with the production and decoration of chocolate bars by the participants themselves.
