Inaipi suspends food supply contracts over alleged collusion
The National Institute for Early Childhood Care (Inaipi) has issued a preventive and temporary suspension of several contract awards and six resulting contracts related to the supply and distribution of food for CAIPI and CAFI centers in the metropolitan area.
The suspension follows a due diligence investigation by the institution's Purchasing and Contracting Committee, which identified alleged signs of collusive practices during the public bidding process (INAIPI-CCC-LPN-2025-0029). The affected contracts include those awarded to Panaco, S. R. L., García Tejera & Asociados, S. R. L., and Tenedora Gaboc, S. R. L., totaling 232,075,217 pesos, as well as Food Truck Dominicana-Vimica, S. R. L., Viramica, S. R. L., and Nurks, S. R. L., totaling 169,466,348 pesos.
Inaipi stated the measure aims to preserve transparency, legality, and administrative integrity while the General Directorate of Public Procurement (DGCP) and the National Commission for the Defense of Competition (Pro-Competencia) complete their investigations. The institution noted that no contracts had commenced execution, and no goods, services, or payments had been processed at the time of the suspension.
