Inapa begins construction of Damajagua‑Maizal aqueduct in Valverde
The National Institute of Potable Water and Sewerage (Inapa) broke ground on the Damajagua‑Maizal aqueduct in Valverde province, Dominican Republic. Executive director Wellington Arnaud announced the project, which is expected to benefit roughly 14,513 residents and is funded with an investment of RD 444,601,681.
The work includes installing a 36‑inch pipe connection to the Noroeast line, rehabilitating a pump station, building a rapid‑filtration plant capable of 70 L/s, laying 23,245 m of distribution network and adding about 3,000 new service connections. Arnaud praised President Luis Abinader for allocating the needed resources, stating the project will strengthen water service and improve community living standards.
