Inapa begins sanitary sewage construction in San Juan

The National Institute of Drinking Water and Sewerage (Inapa) has commenced construction on a new sanitary sewage system in El Córbano, San Juan province, Dominican Republic. The project is expected to benefit more than 19,000 residents in the areas of El Córbano Norte, El Córbano Sur, and Santomé.

Inapa Executive Director Wellington Arnaud stated that the infrastructure aims to reduce the prevalence of diseases by preventing untreated wastewater from entering local water bodies. The project includes a wastewater treatment plant utilizing a gravity-based system with reactors and lagoons. This initiative is part of a broader government effort to improve sanitation services and water management across the national territory.
