INAU awards FINNA funds to youth projects in Lavalleja

The Institute for Children and Adolescents of Uruguay (INAU) has announced the winning projects for the FINNA Funds (Fondos para Iniciativa de Niños, Niñas y Adolescentes) in the Lavalleja department. Two initiatives received the maximum score of 45 points: the 'Juegos Infantiles' project by the Liga de Baby Fútbol de José Pedro Varela and the 'Cuentos para seguir creciendo juntos y juntas' project by the Centro Juvenil Entre Sierras.

A total of $166,600 was distributed between the two projects, with a cap of $86,000 per initiative. These funds are strictly designated for the specific purposes outlined in each proposal and cannot be used for salaries or professional fees.

The Liga de Baby Fútbol de José Pedro Varela project aims to renovate and improve deteriorated playground equipment at its sports complex. This space serves over 400 children in the department and is intended to provide a safe environment for younger siblings and families during sporting events.
