Inazawa City offers emergency loans for Typhoon No. 24 victims
The Inazawa City Social Welfare Council has announced the commencement of special emergency small-sum loans for disaster living welfare funds, effective October 1, 2026. This measure is a response to the damages caused by Typhoon No. 24 and heavy rains from weather fronts.
Loans are generally capped at 100,000 yen per household. However, the limit may be increased to 200,000 yen for households meeting specific criteria, such as those containing deceased members due to the disaster, individuals requiring nursing care, households with four or more members, or households with serious injuries, pregnant women, or children who have completed elementary school.
The loans are interest-free for a grace period of up to one year from the date of the loan, followed by a repayment period of up to two years. Each household is eligible for this assistance only once.
