Inbolt raises $12.5 million to expand AI industrial robotics platform
Inbolt, a Paris-based industrial robotics company, has raised €11 million ($12.5 million) in a funding round led by Shift4Good. This investment brings the company’s total funding to approximately €30 million ($34 million).
The company develops an AI-powered, hardware-agnostic software layer combined with 3D vision. This technology allows industrial robots to perceive environmental changes, such as misaligned parts or tooling wear, and adjust their movements in real time. The system is designed to be deployed on both new and existing production lines, supporting major platforms including FANUC, ABB, KUKA, Yaskawa, Comau, and Universal Robots.
Inbolt plans to use the capital to expand its presence in the United States, following the opening of a Detroit office, and across the Asia-Pacific region. The company also intends to enter the data center and electronics manufacturing sectors. Currently, Inbolt’s technology is deployed on more than 200 robots across over 100 factories globally, serving clients such as Bosch, Beko, Flex, Ford, Stellantis, and Toyota.
