Incap Romania invests in cable assembly for electric bus project

Incap Electronics Romania has invested in a new semi-automatic cable assembly processing system at its facility in Galați. This technological upgrade is designed to support a multi-year electric bus project with an estimated annual value of EUR 5 million.

The new system automates the application of sealing grommets to cables, which protects connections from moisture, dust, and vibration. According to Managing Director Teodor Bucur, the equipment increases production efficiency and flexibility, allowing the factory to handle a wider range of cable assembly projects.

Production for the electric bus contract commenced in August 2026, with volumes expected to scale gradually. The Galați site provides electronics manufacturing services, including box build and system-level production, and maintains IATF 16949 automotive quality certification.
