Inception Racing switches to Corvette for 2027 IMSA season

British-based Inception Racing has announced it will switch from Ferrari to the Chevrolet Corvette Z06 GT3.R Evo for the 2027 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship. This move marks the team’s fifth consecutive full season in the GTD class.

The transition follows the expected departure of DXDT Racing from the Corvette program and the withdrawal of DragonSpeed from top-level IMSA competition. Inception Racing will join 13 Autosport as the second confirmed full-time Corvette customer team for the upcoming season.

The team plans to retain its driver lineup for the #70 car, consisting of Brendan Iribe, Frederik Schandorff, and Ollie Millroy. While Iribe and Schandorff are expected to compete for the full season, Millroy is slated to participate in the IMSA Michelin Endurance Cup rounds.
