Incerto launches local AI infrastructure for medical institutions
Incerto has launched an “In-hospital Local AI Infrastructure” designed to allow medical institutions to utilize generative AI without transmitting sensitive patient data outside the facility. The system operates via dedicated hardware installed on-site, running local Large Language Models (LLMs) that remain disconnected from the internet during AI processing.
The service includes end-to-end support, ranging from pre-installation security inspections—addressing vulnerabilities in VPNs and vendor maintenance lines—to ongoing updates and maintenance. To assist with clinical workflows, Incerto provides four types of AI software free of charge: a medical billing AI chat, a voice-to-medical-record AI, a medical document drafting assistant, and a medical information search chat.
This localized approach aims to mitigate the cybersecurity risks associated with cloud-based AI, where data breaches in centralized services can impact numerous institutions. By processing queries and documents within the hospital's internal network, the system ensures that even if external internet services are interrupted, medical staff can continue to access AI-driven tools.
