Incheon advances regional policies for youth, healthcare, and tourism
Incheon Metropolitan City is undertaking several regional development initiatives across various sectors. The city is reviewing the feasibility of establishing a youth foundation and a dedicated youth fund to enhance the connectivity and sustainability of policies regarding employment, housing, and welfare.
In the Yeongjong district, local officials are advocating for the establishment of a public general hospital to address the lack of emergency and critical care infrastructure despite rapid population growth. Additionally, Yeongjong-gu is collaborating with the Incheon Tourism Organization to promote stay-over tourism by linking MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) events and city tours with local resources.
In Ganghwa, the Incheon Metropolitan Council is inspecting wellness and cultural tourism resources to revitalize the local economy. Meanwhile, the city is also holding administrative workshops with various districts and private organizations to discuss architectural policies, including fire safety for warehouses and support for the legal use of living accommodation facilities.
