Incheon Airport Aviation Training Center re-certified by ICAO
The Incheon International Airport Corporation Aviation Training Center has successfully achieved re-certification as an International Aviation Training Institution by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO). Following a field inspection conducted in mid-September, the center passed 247 evaluation items across 14 categories—including quality management and curriculum development—with zero deficiencies.
This re-certification maintains the center's status as an ICAO-certified institution through December 2029. The center, which first received ICAO certification in 2011, has provided aviation training to 12,210 professionals from 165 countries since its opening. It is notably the first in the Asia-Pacific region to hold accreditation from the three major international aviation organizations: ICAO, ACI, and IATA.
Moving forward, Incheon Airport plans to strengthen its partnership with ICAO by developing collaborative curricula, expanding the recruitment of ICAO-accredited courses, and increasing aviation education support for developing nations.
