Incheon and Busan districts receive Ministry of the Interior and Safety commendations

Incheon‑Yeongjong‑gu was awarded the Ministry of the Interior and Safety’s Minister’s Commendation at the 6th Proactive Administration Awards, its first such honor since the district’s establishment. The award recognized the district’s work on execution‑plan development, activation efforts and citizen‑perceived service improvements, as well as its collaborative projects and proactive‑administration mileage system.

Busan‑Buk‑gu received the 2025 Minister’s Commendation in the Ministry’s Proactive Administration Comprehensive Evaluation, ranking among the top six local governments nationwide and the only district in Busan to earn the honor. The district was praised for initiatives such as a new proactive‑administration team‑selection system, the formation of a proactive‑administration committee, support rules for staff, expanded illegal‑parking enforcement, and community projects like the Deokcheon Library.

Both district heads highlighted the dedication of their staff, stating the awards reflect collective effort to improve administrative services for residents.
