Incheon Art Platform launches arts education for preschoolers
The Incheon Art Platform, operated by the Incheon Foundation for Arts and Culture, is launching a new arts education program for preschool children titled ‘Unexpected Art at Incheon Art Platform’. Running from September 12 to October 17, the program is designed for children born in 2020 and 2021.
Hosted in the newly established Arts Education Lounge in Building A, the initiative focuses on sensory-based activities centered on body movement. The curriculum aims to expand children's expressive abilities, spatial cognition, and imagination through activities involving lines, points, planes, and various objects.
The program is a collaboration with ABC Lab, a specialized body-based arts education institution led by CEO Kim Seo-jin. This pilot project will evaluate the effectiveness of arts education for young children to inform future expansions of programs for various age groups at the facility. The sessions are free of charge.
