Incheon begins development plan for Sammok Port

Incheon Metropolitan City has officially commenced the establishment of a development plan to designate and transform Sammok Port in Yeongjong-gu into a multifunctional local fishery port.

During a recent kickoff meeting involving local fishing representatives and relevant organizations, officials discussed the strategic direction and future schedule for the project. The initiative aims to address long-standing demands from local fishermen for improved facilities, specifically regarding permanent berthing spaces and safe shelters during severe weather conditions. The city plans to finalize the designation following consultations with the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries.
