Incheon City sets 2027 living wage at 12,630 KRW per hour
Incheon City has finalized its living wage for 2027 at 12,630 KRW per hour. This represents a 5.1% increase (620 KRW) from the 2026 rate of 12,010 KRW.
The new rate is 18% higher than the government-mandated 2027 minimum wage of 10,700 KRW. The decision was reached by the Living Wage Committee, which included representatives from labor groups such as the Korean Confederation of Trade Unions and management organizations like the Incheon Employers Association.
The wage will take effect on January 1, 2027. It applies to workers employed by the city, public corporations, investment and 출연 (contribution) agencies, and private agencies commissioned to perform city duties.
