Incheon expands cultural access through art road and new community spaces
Incheon is expanding its local cultural engagement through new initiatives in the Incheon Art Platform and Geomdan-gu.
Incheon Art Platform will host the ‘2026 Incheon Art Road’ throughout October. This program allows citizens to explore 25 cultural and artistic spaces across the Gaehangjang and Baedari areas. The initiative includes the ‘Incheon Art Walk’ docent tours, which offer professional guidance through specific routes, and a stamp tour where participants can collect stamps at various locations to receive souvenirs. The program is designed to connect citizens with local art and will be linked with the Incheon Gaehangjang National Heritage Night from October 9 to 11.
Simultaneously, Geomdan-gu has commenced full operations of ‘Geomdan Turtle,’ a multi-purpose complex cultural space. The venue aims to revitalize the local arts ecosystem by hosting small-scale plays, performances, and resident-participatory exhibitions. Upcoming programs include the play ‘I Haven’t Left Yet’ in early October and an inaugural exhibition by the Geomdan-gu Cultural Arts Association in November.
