Incheon faces mixed political and administrative performance

Incheon's political and administrative sectors are facing contrasting results. While local National Assembly members achieved the highest pledge fulfillment rate in South Korea at 43.66%, according to the Korea Manifesto, Incheon Mayor Park Chan-dae has struggled with low job satisfaction ratings. Realmeter reported that the Mayor's performance satisfaction remains in the lower tier, partly attributed to the temporary suspension of the ‘Incheon e-Eum’ cashback program.

Simultaneously, Incheon's public corporations are underperforming in management evaluations. None of the eight local facility management corporations in Incheon received the top ‘Ga’ grade in the recent evaluation by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety. The average score for Incheon's corporations was 87.13, slightly below the national average. Notably, the Namdong-gu Urban Management Corporation has shown a continuous decline in performance scores over the last decade, prompting calls for administrative improvements.
