Incheon hosts 11th Munhaksan classical concert at mountain summit

Incheon Metropolitan City successfully hosted the 11th Munhaksan Concert on the summit of Munhaksan Mountain on September 19. Themed ‘A Feast of Classical Music Delivered by the Sunset,’ the outdoor event featured the Incheon Philharmonic Orchestra led by conductor Choi Su-yeol, alongside soprano Park So-young and harmonica player Park Jong-seong.

The concert series began in 2016 to commemorate the full opening of the Munhaksan summit to the public, following a 2015 agreement between Incheon City and the Ministry of National Defense. Mayor Park Chan-dae attended the event, stating his commitment to expanding cultural and artistic opportunities for citizens to enjoy in their daily lives.

To manage the large crowd and nighttime conditions, the city implemented safety measures including dedicated transport for the mobility impaired, safety guides for the descent after sunset, and additional lighting to ensure a safe return for attendees.
