Incheon hosts SuRF 2026 startup and student innovation event

The SuRF 2026 Incheon (Start-Up Ready the Future) event was held at Songdo Convensia, serving as a major hub for the regional startup ecosystem. The event facilitated connections between startups, investors, and large corporations like KT and Korean Air through open innovation programs, IR pitching, and one-on-one meetups.

In conjunction with the startup week, the Incheon Metropolitan Office of Education hosted a demo day for the ‘2026 Incheon Student Startup Innovation Class’. This program showcased the ideas of 16 students from eight selected teams who developed business models to solve social and everyday problems. The initiative aims to foster entrepreneurship and creative problem-solving skills in students through project-based learning.

The event highlighted Incheon's strategic role as a global logistics and high-tech hub, focusing on sectors such as bio, semiconductors, and artificial intelligence to support startup growth and international expansion.
