Incheon hosts World Aviation Conference to discuss AI and future airport trends

The 9th World Aviation Conference was held at Paradise City Incheon, drawing a record 1,300 industry experts to discuss the future of the airport industry. Under the theme ‘Airport Beyond Airport: Paradigm Shift in the Airport Industry’, the event focused on the transition to artificial intelligence (AI), aviation security, cargo innovation, and infrastructure expansion.

Key discussions included the development of an aviation AI hub by Incheon International Airport Corporation and the evolution of airports into intelligent, sustainable, and human-centric spaces. Sessions also covered differentiated terminal experiences, streamlined security for vulnerable passengers, and global trends in air cargo, such as semiconductor and pharmaceutical logistics.

In addition to panel discussions, the conference featured an exhibition of latest aviation technologies and equipment, with an expanded space dedicated to helping domestic companies enter overseas markets.
