Incheon launches Logistics AX Alliance to drive AI integration

Incheon Metropolitan City has launched the ‘Incheon Logistics AX Alliance’ to drive innovation in the logistics industry through Artificial Intelligence (AI) and digital technology integration. The initiative aims to transition from simple digital transformation (DX) to AI Transformation (AX), creating a smart logistics ecosystem.

The alliance consists of 27 participating organizations, including 25 companies such as CJ Logistics, Hanjin, Coupang, LX Pantos, and Samsung SDS. Academic and research support is provided by institutions including Inha University, Incheon National University, KAIST, and various national research institutes. Public sector involvement includes the Incheon Port Authority and Incheon International Airport Corporation.

Key objectives of the alliance include developing field-customized technologies, improving regulations, nurturing professional talent, and jointly responding to government projects. The city plans to integrate AI-based smart systems into major infrastructure, including Incheon International Airport, Incheon Port, and surrounding logistics complexes. A working-level consultative body has been activated immediately to facilitate communication and implement strategic tasks.
