Incheon launches tourism receipt event to boost local spending

Incheon Metropolitan City and the Incheon Tourism Organization are conducting a tourism consumption receipt event through September 20 to promote local spending and expand the user base of the smart tourism app, ‘Incheon e-G’.

In partnership with the OK Cashbag platform, participants can upload photos of receipts from restaurants, cafes, or experience programs within Incheon. The event utilizes AI to verify spending amounts and merchant locations in real time.

Rewards are tiered based on spending: the first 10,000 participants will receive 500 OK Cashbag points. Those certifying spending of 5,000 KRW or more can receive 5,000 KRW coupons for Incheon e-G merchants and enter draws for museum invitations. Participants spending over 10,000 KRW are eligible to win prizes including stays at Inspire Resort and Harbor Park Hotel, or vouchers for The Spa Hasta Incheon.

The initiative aims to use collected consumption data to improve future tourism policies and expand the merchant network within the Incheon e-G ecosystem.
