Incheon local authorities conduct safety and environmental initiatives

Incheon's Geomdan-gu district held a joint public-private fire prevention campaign in the Baekseok-dong industrial area. Approximately 70 participants, including District Head Kim Jin-gyu, safety officials, and volunteer fire brigades, distributed promotional materials to factory operators to encourage autonomous safety management and early response training. The initiative aims to mitigate fire risks in densely packed small-scale factory zones, particularly during the winter season, following significant fire damage reported in the area in 2024.

Separately, the Incheon Environmental Corporation's Seunggi Office conducted an environmental cleanup at Seunggicheon Stream in Yeonsu-gu. Working alongside citizen volunteers, employees collected fallen leaves and various types of litter, such as plastics and vinyl, to improve walking path safety and prevent accidents like slips. The corporation plans to continue quarterly environmental preservation and black-faced spoonbill protection activities to maintain the urban recreational space.
