Incheon local authorities implement new public welfare and business support policies
Various local government initiatives and policy discussions are underway in Incheon to improve public services and support local sectors.
In the Incheon Metropolitan Council, member Lee Yeon-ju participated in a policy talk concert focused on strengthening public childcare. Discussions centered on establishing ‘Incheon-style common standards’ for the management of public daycare centers and increasing labor cost support for teachers in infant classes to ensure operational stability and employment security.
The Incheon Credit Guarantee Foundation held a policy committee meeting to address challenges faced by small business owners, such as rising management costs and shrinking consumption. The foundation aims to strengthen cooperation between Incheon City and related agencies to develop practical support systems.
In Jemulpo-gu, new administrative measures have been launched. The district established a Gender Equality Committee consisting of 10 members to review policies regarding women's rights and family support. Additionally, the district held a meeting for its integrity practice consultative body to enhance transparency and prevent corruption in high-risk areas such as contracts, subsidies, and licensing.
