Incheon local governments implement anti-corruption and safety measures

Local government administrations in Incheon are implementing new measures to enhance public integrity and workplace safety.

In Ganghwa County, approximately 150 civil servants participated in anti-corruption and integrity training. The session, led by instructor Ryu Jung-eun, focused on the Improper Solicitation and Graft Act and the Conflict of Interest Prevention Act. The training aimed to foster a culture of fairness and provided guidance on gift-giving standards ahead of the Chuseok holiday.

In the newly established Yeongjong-gu, officials have launched the Public Official Ethics Committee. Comprising seven members, including legal and education experts, the committee is tasked with reviewing property registrations and employment for retired officials to prevent conflicts of interest. Additionally, Yeongjong-gu held its first Industrial Safety and Health Committee meeting. Chaired by District Head Son Hwa-jeong, the meeting focused on establishing safety regulations and managing health risks for field workers to ensure a secure working environment.
