Incheon National University hosts successful pop-up book lounge

Incheon National University’s Haksan Library successfully concluded its ‘2026 Pop-up Book Lounge’ event, held from October 6 to 8 at the Convergence Hall. The initiative, a collaborative project with the Seoul Library, aimed to transform indoor idle spaces into relaxing, picnic-like reading environments using specialized book kits that included folding chairs, blankets, and mood lanterns.

Participants reported high satisfaction, noting the event provided a healing atmosphere and a sense of freedom. Following the success of this program, the library plans to expand its reading culture initiatives, including operating pop-up lounges in outdoor campus spaces such as the grass plaza during spring and autumn seasons.
