Incheon provides housing brokerage subsidies for youth and newlyweds

Incheon Metropolitan City is providing subsidies of up to 300,000 won to cover real estate brokerage fees for young people and newlyweds to alleviate housing cost burdens. As of late September, the city has distributed approximately 92 million won to 381 households.

Youth aged 18 to 39 represent the largest group of beneficiaries, accounting for 85% of total cases. Geographically, the highest number of applications came from Bupyeong-gu (21%), followed by Namdong-gu (20%) and Seo-gu (18%). In terms of housing types, multi-family houses were most common (26%), followed by apartments (24%) and officetels (19%).

To qualify, applicants must be homeless tenants residing in or moving to Incheon and fall into categories such as youth (18–39), newlyweds (within five years of marriage registration), recipients of basic livelihood security, the near-poverty group, or single-parent families. The subsidy applies to lease contracts with a deposit of 100 million won or less and a term of at least 24 months. Applications can be made through the Incheon City website or the Incheon Youth Portal, though the program may end early if the budget is exhausted.
