Incheon provides supplies to pet-friendly restaurants

Incheon Metropolitan City is providing support to registered pet-friendly restaurants to foster a safe and hygienic dining culture. The initiative includes the distribution of signage, hand sanitizers, wet wipes, and waste bags to help businesses manage their facilities and assist pet owners.

The pet-friendly restaurant system, which allows owners to dine with their pets in general restaurants provided hygiene and safety standards are met, has been in effect since March 1 following amendments to the Food Sanitation Act.

To expand participation, the city will increase promotional efforts through food hygiene inspectors at large cafes and tourist areas, as well as via official websites. Business owners wishing to register can contact their local district hygiene departments for guidance on procedures and standards.
