Incheon residential fires leave one dead and five injured

Two consecutive fires occurred in multi-family residential buildings in Incheon, resulting in one death and five injuries.

The first fire broke out around 10:56 PM on August 28 in the first floor of a building in Okryeon-dong, Yeonsu-gu. Although the blaze was extinguished within 34 minutes, a man in his 20s died, and five residents were hospitalized for injuries including smoke inhalation and back pain.

A second fire was reported later that same day at approximately 1:44 PM in Hagik-dong, Michuhol-gu. While six residents had to evacuate the building, no injuries were reported in this incident. Fire authorities are currently investigating the exact causes of both fires.
