Incheon Social Service Agency achieves 97.9% human rights impact assessment rate
The Incheon Social Service Agency announced that it achieved a 97.9% success rate in its annual human rights impact assessment, meeting 137 out of 143 evaluation indicators. The assessment, conducted between February and October, focused on organizational operations including employment, labor rights, industrial safety, and health.
Key achievements included 100% compliance in areas such as non-discrimination in employment, freedom of association and collective bargaining, and working environments. The rate for ‘protection of human rights in the workplace’ rose to 97%, a 1.4 percentage point increase from the previous year.
Subsidized facilities, including the Incheon Comprehensive Welfare Center for the Disabled and the Incheon Senior Protection Agency, were also evaluated. While the Senior Protection Agency achieved a 100% rate, the agency identified areas for improvement, such as enhancing communication channels for external stakeholders and providing service information in easier-to-understand language.
Based on the findings, the agency proposed six improvement tasks: worker safety, damage recovery, organizational culture improvement, establishing protection systems for part-time workers, monitoring human rights violations in affiliated facilities, and investigating disability discrimination.
