Incheon to host 27th National Tea Culture Festival
Incheon Metropolitan City will host the 27th National Tea Culture Festival and Tea Etiquette Competition on October 31 at the Gachon University Medical Campus. The event aims to promote the value of traditional tea culture and ensure the succession of intangible cultural heritage.
The program includes a tea etiquette competition, demonstrations of Seonbi-darye (traditional tea etiquette practiced by scholars), and an opening ceremony with celebratory performances. Visitors can also participate in various hands-on activities, such as tea tastings, traditional culture experiences, and jeda (the traditional process of processing tea leaves).
Organized by the Gyubang Darye Preservation Society and the Korea Tea Culture Association with support from Incheon, the festival is free and open to the public without prior registration.
